A healthcare organization in England is seeking a leader for the Mental Health Support Team to enhance mental health interventions in educational settings. The role involves providing operational leadership and collaborating with educational staff to support school children's wellbeing. The ideal candidate will bring experience in mental health services and a commitment to fostering supportive environments for children and young people.
The Mental Health Support Team (MHST) in Cornwall is an NHS service which works within school and education settings to provide early intervention for school children who are experiencing difficulties such as low mood and anxiety. The team also supports education staff in implementing strategies across the whole school to try to ensure that children’s wellbeing is supported and promoted throughout school life. We are excited to be expanding the service according to the national program of delivery so we will begin reaching into secondary schools as well as alternative provisions reaching children and young people who are electively home educated. We are therefore looking to expand the leadership team with an additional post to work with our existing leads and managers to lead this exciting development. This post forms part of the Children’s Services Operational Management Structure within Mental Health Directorate.
