CAD Technician Antrim £35-40k

Our client based in Antrim has an immediate requirement to recruit a CAD Technician to join their team to work on a range of projects for their expanding client base.

The role will suit someone with at least 3 years of experience performing in a similar role who thrives on working in a fast-paced environment both with clients and as part of a dynamic wider team.

Role & Responsibilities

• Interpreting and translating design concepts and ideas into accurate and detailed technical drawings using CAD software.
• Collaborating with design engineers and architects to gather product and structural requirements and designs.
• Producing detailed working drawings in line with client requirements
• Preparing technical reports, specification and schedules
• Contributing to the planning of team workload.

Individual requirements

• Strong knowledge of AutoCAD and Solidworks
• Ability to read and understand construction plans and drawings and translate design briefs into design solutions
• Good understanding of building regulations, planning policies and construction processes
• Comfortable working on concurrent projects
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
