Business Development Team Leader – £32,000–£35,000 per year, depending on experience + Quarterly commission / bonus – Glasgow/ Hybrid

The Role

Are you a natural leader with a track record in outbound sales or business development? Ready to manage a team while still staying close to client delivery?

Route-to-Market (RtM) Consulting is a leading business development and demand generation consultancy helping organisations grow their revenue and extend market reach. We're now looking for a Team Leader to join our team in a dual role, combining people management with hands-on campaign delivery.

You will divide your time 50/50 between leading a team and working directly on client campaigns. You will be expected to manage delivery quality, develop your team, and maintain direct involvement in outbound calling and lead qualification.

Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership (50%)
  • Manage a team of Business Development Consultants
  • Maintain client relationships and ensure delivery of outcomes
  • Resource client projects on time and to brief
  • Coach and support your team with 1-2-1s and personal development plans
  • Handle recruitment, onboarding, and performance management
  • Promote data quality and reporting standards
  • Drive utilisation, schedule adherence and performance across the team
Campaign Delivery (50%)
  • Make outbound calls to senior decision-makers (including C-suite)
  • Qualify and nurture opportunities, handing off to client sales teams
  • Maintain CRM notes and follow-up actions
  • Develop campaign messaging, scripts and objection handling with internal stakeholders
