Overview

Cogent Staffing are recruiting for a Business Development Manager for our client based in Halifax, working in the fire and security industry. This is a permanent position offering a salary of 40,000 plus a competitive commission structure. The ideal candidate will be driven and proactive, with a passion for driving business growth.

Shifts & Salary
  • Monday to Friday
  • 8 AM - 4:30 PM
  • 1 day a week in Halifax office, with the rest of the week offering hybrid working
  • 40,000 plus competitive commission structure
  • Company car or 500 per month car allowance
Duties
  • Drive new business by identifying and pursuing opportunities in the fire and security sector.
  • Generate leads through networking, industry events, and market research.
  • Sell a range of fire and security services, tailoring solutions to meet client needs.
  • Travel to meet clients and customers, ensuring strong relationships are developed and maintained.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure service delivery aligns with client expectations.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations to potential clients, showcasing company offerings.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities and client interactions in the company CRM system.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in a business development or sales role, ideally within the fire and security industry (industry experience is preferred but not essential).
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Strong ability to build and maintain client relationships.
  • Full UK driving licence and own transport.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing time effectively to meet deadlines.
  • Familiarity with CRM software and sales tracking tools.
