Building Surveyor

£23.70/hr PAYE OR £29.96/hr Umbrella

A Building Surveyor is required to join a public sector client on a 3‑month minimum contract in Southampton. As a Building Surveyor, you will be working closely with surveyors, contractors and internal teams of building responsive repairs team, managing a portfolio of minor works projects to address damp, mould and condensation issues in properties. You will be predominantly site based or working in the office between appointments.

Requirements

• Educated to a minimum HNC-level in Building Surveying, or have significant equivalent experience.
• Great knowledge of Building Pathology, specialising in Damp and Mould.
• Knowledge of legislation such as Building Regulations, Control of Asbestos, H&S, Disrepairs, etc.
• Ability to write and prepare concise and accurate reports and contracts.
• Manage budgets and deliver programmes of works.
• Fit and healthy enough to access awkward places, climb ladders and scaffolding.
• Own vehicle and driving licence.
