We are an ambitious and expanding business with a strong reputation for delivering quality products and outstanding service. As part of our continued growth we are developing our Power & Tools Division a fast-moving and strategically important part of our operation.

We are now seeking a Branch Operations Manager to take ownership of this division driving performance efficiency and growth as we enter our next exciting phase. This opportunity will suit a self-reliant Operations or Branch Manager who is able to oversee the creation fit-out and start-up of Scotland’s first United Rentals location for Power and Tools followed by the recruitment and management of the new branch team.

Future success will be measured by the growth of the business customer loyalty and adherence to United Rentals high equipment quality and service delivery standards. Your focus
  • Service‑oriented know how to respond swiftly and efficiently to our customers needs
  • Responsible for the motivation, coaching and development of the Scottish team
  • Maximise the efficiency of our service organisation
  • Ensure the timely and cost‑effective maintenance and repair of the rental fleet
  • Take responsibility for the delivery, installation and removal of our equipment on client sites
  • Ensure compliance with internal and external QHSE policies
  • Actively contribute to and implement European‑wide initiatives
Your profile
  • We are seeking candidates with proven experience in this sector
  • Operational work experience including strong experience in the management of a technical department
  • An understanding of quality management system planning and logistics
  • Ability to drive continuous improvement in maintenance, safety, quality and customer service
  • Capacity to build and retain a cohesive and effective operational team
  • Experience in change management, Lean Six Sigma and ISO accreditation
  • Oral and written proficiency in English
  • Computer literate including MS Office
  • Willingness to travel occasionally to our European Support office in the Netherlands
