Behaviour Teaching Assistant

Are you passionate about making a difference for children with social, emotional, and mental health needs? We are seeking a resilient and dedicated Behaviour Teaching Assistant to join our team in a Primary Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) in Sefton.

About the Role
  • Support pupils who have been excluded or are at risk of exclusion from mainstream education.
  • Work closely with teachers and other professionals to implement behaviour strategies and personalised learning plans.
  • Provide emotional and academic support to help pupils re-engage with learning.
  • Maintain a calm, positive, and consistent approach in challenging situations.
What We're Looking For
  • Experience working with children with SEMH needs or in a PRU setting (desirable but not essential).
  • Strong behaviour management skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • A caring, patient, and resilient attitude.
