Overview

Bank Work Based Assessor - Children and Young People

Hours and days are as required

Salary (Grade 4 Points 18 to 22)

£33,783 to £36,701 per annum pro rata

(subject to pending Job Evaluation)

This salary includes £2,500 Market Allowance, which is in place until the outcome of Job Evaluation is confirmed and then will be reviewed.

Role and Team

West Lothian College are looking to recruit an outstanding Work Based Assessor for Children and Young People to our staff bank within the Care, Health and Sport faculty. You will be part of a highly motivated team of Work-Based Assessors working with organisations to upskill and reskill their workforce by undertaking Modern Apprenticeships and SVQs within the Children and Young People sector.

Contract and Flexibility

We are looking for individuals who are able to be flexible on a fixed term as and when basis. Working from home, you will have the advantage of being flexible in your daily working hours over the course of the week.

Responsibilities
  • Support and assess learners in the Children and Young People sector as part of the staff bank.
  • Enable organisations to upskill/reskill their workforce by undertaking Modern Apprenticeships and SVQs within the sector.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Educated to SCQF Level 9 in the Children and Young People sector.
  • Assessor qualified.
  • Good understanding and relevant experience within the sector.
  • Strong organisational skills to prioritise effectively.
  • Ability to communicate at all levels to help others achieve qualifications and meet SSSC Management registration requirements.
Interview Process

Candidates selected for interview will undertake a value and competency-based interview and prepare and deliver a 10 minute presentation.
