Overview

We are currently recruiting for Bank Kitchen Assistants with previous experience working in a catering/kitchen/hospitality environment who can cover flexible ad hoc shifts as and when required to cover for annual leave, sickness, training, etc. at Cygnet Hospital Ealing. Our current need is for bank staff to cover morning shifts (07:30am to 15:30pm) across a 7 day rota (Monday - Sunday). You will assist the Chef in ensuring that all catering areas are maintained in a hygienic, clean, tidy and safe manner, as per the operational standards, and assist in all relevant aspects of the catering operation as required. Responsibilities
  • Prepare, cook and serve food in a safe manner
  • Promote and ensure the good reputation of the Hospital. To maintain and demonstrate a positive attitude toward clients, their families, staff, visitors and others
  • Wash up after meals as well as being responsible for the overall cleaning of the kitchen and where appropriate the dining area
  • Take pride in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness
  • Ensure statutory Health and Safety standards in the kitchen and dining areas
  • Previous catering experience
  • Knowledge of HACCP and Food Safety Training
  • Experience of working in a care or hospital environment
  • Be a good communicator and able to liaise with people at all levels
  • Have good personal hygiene standards
  • Hold a Basic Food Hygiene Certificate
