A community healthcare provider in Birmingham is looking for an experienced Band 7 Speech and Language Therapist to support children with Speech, Language and Communication Needs in special schools. The role includes clinical supervision, team coordination, and collaboration with various stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have a relevant degree and experience in the field. We have an exciting opportunity for a dynamic Band 7 Speech and Language Therapist to cover maternity leave in our friendly and forward-thinking community team. Acting as Special Schools Coordinator, you will support and advocate for children with SLCN in special schools across the city and coordinate the work of the SaLTs working in special schools.
We deliver clinical excellence through evidence-based practice. We offer a friendly and supportive working environment with a strong emphasis on CPD through access to specialist clinical support, sharing good practice and effective team working.
It’s an exciting time for the service! We have just started our third year of delivering an integrated SLT service within a Balanced System framework. We’re working in partnership with families, the Local Authority, individual schools and a wide range of stakeholders to deliver interventions at Universal, Targeted and Specialist levels.
