Key responsibilities

Cedar House School is committed to enabling young people to progress and succeed by celebrating their individuality and talents. The school offers a seamless educational journey, beginning with a nurturing primary provision supported by extensive therapeutic input, and continuing into a secondary setting with a broad academic and vocational curriculum.

The school also features a state-of-the-art residential facility, providing a 24-hour curriculum in a homely and personalised environment. This holistic approach ensures that every young person receives consistent, tailored support throughout their time at the school.

Cedar House is part of a wider network of specialist schools and children’s homes where clinicians are central to one of the most integrated models in SEND. The young people supported by the client often present with complex needs, including developmental trauma, neurodevelopmental conditions, and special educational needs.

As a key member of a multi-disciplinary clinical team, the successful candidate will support both educational and residential colleagues in creating therapeutic living and learning environments. Responsibilities include conducting clinical assessments, developing personalised care plans, and delivering individualised therapeutic interventions. The therapist will also assess mental health needs and recommend appropriate strategies to support each young person’s development and wellbeing.
