Job overview To work in all department areas on a rotational basis, working within set clinical protocols and IRMER regulations, ensuring a high-quality and efficient Radiographic Service. To ensure consistency of medical imaging quality and standards of patient care in a wide range of clinical environments and to a diverse range of patient presentations. To be able to take charge of the running of a work area in the absence of the Superintendent and can deputise for the Superintendent.

Main duties of the job

Senior Radiographer - Band 6

We are looking for an experienced and motivated radiographer looking to progress and enhance their supervisory and clinical skills. Radiographers with previous experience in CT and MRI are desirable although not essential as training in these modalities will be offered, and the successful candidate must be willing to take part in our extended evening and weekend CT and MRI service. Our sites are fully equipped with analogue and digital general equipment, dental equipment, screening rooms, MRI units, Nuclear medicine department, a paediatric unit and CT scanners at St Helier hospital. The radiology service is rapidly expanding with plans for equipment replacement and refurbishment to meet the increasing demand. This post offers excellent opportunities to train and develop. The candidate will need to demonstrate experience and knowledge of all aspects of Radiology with an interest in service improvement to ensure the department continues to be progressive and efficient. You must be committed and willing to take on additional responsibilities, and you will be required to participate in the out of hour and 7 day working rota. The role will include supporting the junior staff and contribute to the training of students, as well as resolving day to day issues related to workload management and patient queries.

Please note previous NHS experience is essential for this role.
