Overview

We are seeking an enthusiastic Band 5 Physiotherapist to join our friendly and professional therapy services. The post will be a rotational post across the Hillingdon Hospital Site (Uxbridge) and Mount Vernon Hospital site (Northwood). The 4 monthly rotational post offers experience in a wide range of clinical settings including Musculoskeletal Outpatients, Orthopaedics (including Rapid Recovery programme and Joint School for joint replacements), Hand Therapy, Medical/Surgical including ITU, Neuro Rehabilitation, Acute Stroke Unit and Elderly Care. There is also the opportunity to rotate to Paediatrics and Rapid Response which is supported in collaboration with Central and North West London NHS Foundation Trust.

Both Hospital sites offer undergraduate clinical placements to students from NW London Universities and the University of Hertfordshire. The post supports delivering a complex package of high quality healthcare including assessment, treatment and advice to patients with various needs in a variety of settings. The post also involves participation in the Junior Rotational scheme which may involve outpatients, orthopaedics, Hand Therapy, Orthopaedics on the Mount Vernon Site and ITU/surgery, medical, outpatients, orthopaedics, care of the elderly, acute stroke unit and neurological rehabilitation on the Hillingdon site. Paediatrics and Rapid Response within the community CNWL Trust.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver a complex package of high quality healthcare including assessment, treatment and advice to patients in a variety of settings.
  • Participate in the Junior Rotational scheme which may involve outpatient, orthopaedics, Hand Therapy, ITU/surgery, medical, care of the elderly, acute stroke unit and neurological rehabilitation as appropriate to the site.
  • Rotate across Hillingdon Hospital and Mount Vernon Hospital sites, with exposure to Musculoskeletal Outpatients, Orthopaedics (Rapid Recovery and Joint School for joint replacements), Hand Therapy, Medical/Surgical care including ITU, Neuro Rehabilitation, Acute Stroke Unit, and Elderly Care, and opportunities in Paediatrics and Rapid Response.
  • Contribute within an integrated Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy service that supports staff development and continuing professional development.
