Job description
Overview

We are advertising a new and exciting 12 month fixed term role as a Band 5 Health Promotion Support Officer within the Royal Free Hospital London NHS Foundation Trust Breast Screening Service, based within our Edgware Community Hospital site but working also on occasions at our service based at St. Bartholomew Hospital in the City of London.

Team

The post is part of a newly created team consisting of a Band 7 Health Promotion Lead and a Band 3 Administration Officer.

Responsibilities

The role, working cross site, at the NLBSS base within the Edgware Community Hospital Site and the CELBSS base within the St. Bartholomew Hospital Site, will be responsible for encouraging and improving uptake within breast screening, alongside reducing health inequalities in the eligible screening population.

Support will focus on the NLBSS areas of Brent, Harrow, Barnet, Enfield, Haringey and West Hertfordshire and the CELBSS areas of Camden & Islington, Newham, Tower Hamlets, Waltham Forest and Hackney & The City of London. Targeting lower uptake boroughs, ensuring up to date breast screening data is available and working with a range of stakeholders across the system.

Qualifications

The post is open to a broad range of potential candidates, experience could come from a nursing or administrative background.
