Overview

As an Teaching Assistant/Autism Practitioner, you will play a vital role in supporting our pupils' learning, development, and wellbeing. You will work closely with class teachers and the multidisciplinary team to ensure that each student receives high-quality, personalised support tailored to their needs.

Responsibilities
  • Support class teachers or tutors to deliver high-quality education for all students.
  • Assist in implementing all relevant education policies and procedures fully and effectively.
  • Provide individual and group support to students, helping them access the curriculum as independently as possible.
  • Promote the physical, educational, and moral development of students in line with company policies.
  • Ensure efficient use, storage, and maintenance of classroom equipment and resources.
  • Organise the classroom environment, including resources, student groupings, and displays, to create a stimulating, ASD-friendly learning space.
  • Collaborate with teachers to write, update, implement, and evaluate individual student documentation, including Behaviour Support Profiles (BSP), Individual Risk Assessments, Individual Education Plans, Communication Profiles, and Pastoral Support Plans.
  • Passionate about supporting pupils with Autism and additional needs.
  • Calm, resilient, and adaptable in a busy classroom environment.
  • Collaborative team player with excellent communication skills.
  • Motivated to make a positive impact on students’ lives.
Qualifications
  • GCSEs in English and Maths.
