Job Title: Audit & Accounts Manager

Location: Preston, Hybrid

Salary: £45,000 - £70,000 DOE

We are looking for an experienced Audit & Accounts Manager to join a well-established and growing accountancy practice. This person will play a key role in developing and leading their audit work while also playing a key part in accounts and tax (or willing to build your tax knowledge with support).

The role

This is a senior, hands-on role suited to someone coming from practice, with experience across audit and accounts and an interest in helping shape the future of an audit function. You will manage a small audit team, work closely with senior colleagues, and contribute to the wider delivery of services to our client base.

There is genuine long-term progression available, including the potential to become an RI in the future.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and develop the practice's audit offering
  • Manage and review audit engagements
  • Oversee accounts preparation and support tax compliance
  • Manage and support a small audit team
  • Work closely with partners and senior management on client delivery and audit development
About you
  • Proven practice experience is essential
  • Strong experience across audit and accounts
  • Tax experience is desirable but not essential - willingness to learn is key
  • Qualified (ACA/ACCA or equivalent), ideally with a few years' post-qualification experience
  • Comfortable managing people or ready to step into a management role
  • Ambitious, collaborative, and keen to play a long-term role in a growing practice
