Bewdley, Worcestershire — Part time / Full time

£15 UDA & 60% Private

35 drive from Birmingham

We are looking for a caring, ethical dentist with a good sense of humour (crucial to get the job) to join our Independent 6 surgery practice which has an excellent reputation.

£130,000+ Income derived from 40/60 NHS/Private split, 60% of Private Gross Fees

High UDA rate with no target

We are expanding to 8 surgeries

I think the world of dentistry is changing and we need to move with the times and hence even though we have full lists we market heavily to get the high value cosmetic cases in like Smile Makeovers, Invisalign (we are a platinum provider), Implants, Facial Aesthetics, Composite bonding. • VHF milling machine in house milling of same day veneers/crowns/bridges
• 3D printer for in house printing of veneers for same day smile makeovers

• 4 Wave One machines-Used on NHS patients with no extra charge

We have a large common room with a fully fitted kitchen which we can use to poison you with the food we try to cook or get in!

Dental team

• Full Time Hygienists
• Friendly, supportive and experienced staff, actually I lie some are a bit cantankerous and some only resemble something human after some caffeine
• 13 Qualified dental nurses with additional training in taking CBCTs, Impression taking, Radiography and Intra-Oral Scanning (All our Invisalign cases are scanned by the nurses)
• Implant Co-ordinator
• Smile Make Over Co-ordinator
• Invisalign Co-ordinator

As one of the principle dentists I am present 4 days a week at the practice and have an open door policy with all my dentists for mentoring/ clinical support cases (I teach implants for a large implant training centre) or just an excuse for a chat over tea and biscuits. There are four other experienced clinicians who can assist and offer advice if I'm not available or another surgery to get away from your four walled prison cell!

I personally teach implants at Dentale and happy to mentor new dentists and we are the largest inviting provider in Worcestershire

I think that this is an important point that there is a very strict practice policy with poor attending patients and hence are fortunate to get very few ftas!

We also actively organise in house training and have recently had an in house anterior/posterior preparation course by Ian Cline and he has previously provided an in house photography course and we have booked a rubber dam course for my dental nurses with him

Even though we are 35 minutes from Birmingham we have 5 dentists who travel from dorridge, Solihull, Moseley and Northfield, which hopefully shows it is worth the travel

My final word would be that it is a great place to progress ones career in a relaxed caring environment but still striving to provide the advanced dentistry you want to do.
