Job description
Overview

Sanctuary Personnel has a new permanent position for an Assistant Team Manager within the Fostering Recruitment & Assessment Team, based in Medway. The role is full-time. The salary is up to £54,130 per annum.

Responsibilities
  • Line management responsibility for 3-4 Social Workers and to deliver high-quality supervision regularly to review case work, reflect on practice, and support ongoing learning and development of the team, including case management oversight, timely decision making, and the implementation and review of children\'s plans.
  • Complete and review performance development plans for supervisees to enhance individuals\' personal and professional development needs and contribute to staff retention.
  • Chair strategy, review, planning, professional and network meetings as appropriate.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in line with Data Protection legislation (GDPR) and use Medway Council recording systems to promote effective case management.
  • Support the safer recruitment and selection of new staff within the team and across Children\'s Social Care to ensure staffing levels are maintained.
  • Keep up to date with the Council\'s organisational policies, government guidance, legislation, research, and national trends to maintain high professional standards.
  • Deputise for the Team Manager where necessary and act as the first point of contact for supervisees; attend meetings on the manager\'s behalf when they are on leave.
  • At the Head of Service\'s discretion, undertake other activities consistent with the nature of the job described above.
Qualifications
  • A professional Social Work qualification or equivalent.
  • Understanding of relevant legislation; registered or eligible for registration.
  • Have a good working knowledge of the relevant legislation.
