Qualifications

Working Hours: Monday – Thursday 07.30am-16.30pm / Friday 07.30am-12.30pm

Salary: Competitive (subject to qualifications and experience)

The Role – Assistant Manager

BSP TEX Ltd is a leader in the design and manufacture of trailers and equipment. We are now seeking to recruit an Assistant Manager for the trailer division (RM Trailers, New Alresford, Hants). Candidates are expected to have an Engineering Degree or HND in a design related field and / or have proven experience.

The successful candidate will report to the Divisional Manger and will play a key role to ensure the Company develops successful and innovative products.

Experience & Skills
  • Experience in 2D and 3D using Solid works
  • Modification of existing designs as well as design bespoke solutions
  • Managing projects post-design to ensure products meet specifications / approvals
  • Working closely with the manufacturing team, providing detailed drawings and specifications for fabrication, machining and assembly
  • Liaising with sub-contract manufacturers and suppliers
  • Experience in producing engineering drawings for various methods of manufacture to be employed such as; steel fabrications, steel profiles, turning, boring and milling
  • Knowledge of hydraulic systems and electronic controls an advantage
  • Managing trailer type approval systems and quality control
  • Working knowledge of MS Office products. Insight MRP an advantage
  • Operate within a Quality system to ISO 9001 : 2015
  • Practical skills to cover trailer and vehicle pre delivery inspections
  • Required experience : Engineering Design : minimum 3 years
  • Required licence or certification : Full Drivers Licence
