Salary: £27,000 - £29,000

Location: Thirsk, North Yorkshire

Hours: Full Time, 40 hours per week

Contract: Permanent position with hybrid and flexible working

We are looking for an Assistant Management Accountant to join the Transport Finance team. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to develop their career and take that next step with the support of an award-winning company.

In this role, you will provide key administrative support including raising purchase orders, ensuring the accounts system is accurate and up to date, and includes all necessary information. Your keen eye for detail will enable you to reconcile any inaccuracies and anomalies and produce regular reports as requested.

Your exceptional communication abilities, both written and verbal, will be key in building relationships and sharing information in a timely manner to the wider Transport, Customer Services and Finance teams and external suppliers.

You must be willing to work towards achieving your AAT qualification. We will invest in you and offer training and development to support you in achieving your AAT qualification, so you are able to progress within your role towards Management Accountant level.

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Relevant, demonstrable experience in a similar role in Accounts or Administration in a finance related environment.
  • Experience in using financial systems, preferably Sage 200.
  • Proficient in the use of MS Office packages, and competent in using Excel.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise with all internal and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills, with a keen eye for detail.
  • It would be an advantage if the successful candidate had experience of using Sage and Purgo, however full training can be given.

With sites and offices located across picturesque North Yorkshire, you'll desirably be based at our Thirsk office, with occasional travel to other locations including our head office in Northallerton.
