Job description

ctrg is looking for an Assembly Operator with experience within the automotive sector for a client based in Ebbw Vale, NP23 6PL.

Hourly rates: days and afternoons will be £13.99 per hour (potentially higher, depending on job role and skills)

Candidates will need to work a 3-shift rotation of days, nights and afternoons - 37 hours per week, plus overtime available.

Ideally, candidates will have previous experience within a mechanical assembly and be able to follow written and verbal instructions. Knowledge of health and safety in the workplace is essential.

Your duties will include as an Assembly Operator:

  • Assembling safety-critical products ensuring 100% accuracy
  • Assembly of medium to heavy components candidates will need to be dexterous
  • Must be able to properly use and understand the required measurement equipment including tape measures, micrometres, and other tools as required by specific jobs
  • Experienced in the use of hand, power and air tools
  • Participate in the principles of teamwork
  • Maintain a clean, safe and organised work environment
  • Must operate and perform at speeds necessary to meet production demand
  • Must be able to bend, reach, and stand for 8 hours.
  • Hand and eye coordination
  • Read drawings
  • Must be able to work overtime when required
