Lecturer in Art & Design

To carry out a full range of teaching duties and administration associated with the delivery and management of students learning programmes as appropriate.

This is a temporary position based in Newtown for approximately 18 paid teaching hours per week as follows:

  • Tuesday 6 Hours teaching - with one hour for lunch (7 hours on campus)
  • Wednesday 6 Hours teaching - with one hour for lunch (7 hours on campus)
  • Thursday 6 Hours teaching - with one hour for lunch (7 hours on campus)

Candidates will have a teaching qualification, along with a level 6 qualification (degree or equivalent) in the subject area and must have relevant experience including in 3D Design and Laser Cutting. Level 2 qualifications in Maths and English are also required (GCSE or equivalent) and with the impact the digital world is having on teaching and learning candidates must be IT literate equivalent to level 2.

Compensation and Compliance
  • Our budget for agency lecturing staff is GBP35 per hour including agency fees.
  • Candidates must be fully compliance checked prior to commencement including references and enhanced DBS and must be registered with the EWC as Lecturer in Further Education.
