Job description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Architectural Technologist to join a busy practice on a contract basis, supporting the delivery of technically complex projects across the Healthcare, Industrial, and Commercial sectors. This role will suit a confident professional who can run projects independently while also providing technical leadership to the wider team.

The Role

You will take responsibility for the technical design and delivery of projects, working closely with clients, consultants, and internal teams. In addition, you will support and mentor junior staff, helping to maintain high technical and BIM standards across the practice.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead technical design and production of construction information.
  • Oversee BIM coordination and maintain technical quality standards.
  • Manage project programmes, resources, and client communication.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
  • Ensure compliance with UK Building Regulations and best‑practice construction solutions.
Skills & Experience
  • Chartered MCIAT (preferred) or equivalent experience.
  • Strong background delivering complex UK projects.
  • Proven experience job running across Healthcare, Industrial, and Commercial sectors.
  • Advanced Revit skills and solid BIM coordination experience.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously and hit project deadlines.
Contract Details
  • Rate : £30–£35 per hour (dependent on experience).
  • Contract / freelance engagement.
  • Immediate or short‑notice start preferred.
  • Duration and working pattern to be agreed.
