Position - Air Conditioning Engineer

Location - High Wycombe

Salary/Package - £40,000 - £45,000 (DOE) Van/Fuel Card, PPE & Tools, Overtime available, Call out 1-10, Pension & Perks, & More

Client

Specialising in the design, installation, and maintenance of air conditioning (HVAC) and mechanical services, primarily for retail, commercial, and industrial facilities. They offer full design services (including CAD), project management, installation, and 24/7 maintenance support nationwide.

Job Purpose

To carry out installation, service, and maintenance of air conditioning systems across commercial, retail, and industrial environments, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and delivering exceptional client satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Install, service, maintain, and repair a wide range of AC systems, including Split, multi-split, VRV/VRF, and rooftop units.
  • Carry out fault finding and diagnostics
  • Deliver both reactive and planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
  • Attend emergency callouts (on-call rota basis)
  • Complete service and commissioning reports accurately and on time
  • Ensure all work complies with F-Gas and H&S regulations
  • Communicate effectively with clients and internal teams

Essential Qualifications & Experience

  • NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration (or equivalent)
  • F-Gas Category 1 Certification (2079)
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Strong fault-finding skills

Desirable Qualifications & Skills

  • IPAF, PASMA or CSCS certification
  • Knowledge of ventilation systems and general HVAC
  • Willingness to travel and work flexible hours (including occasional weekends and nights for emergency callouts)

We are looking for a conscientious, reliable person capable of working on their own and as part of a team. Progression through the company is possible, with in-depth experience of the role being an advantage, but not essential as full training will be provided where required.
