Job summary

A prominent social work organization in Stoke-on-Trent is looking for an Advanced/Senior Practitioner to support children and families. You will play a key role in assessment and safeguarding, ensuring welfare is a priority. The ideal candidate is a registered social worker with strong safeguarding knowledge and the ability to manage complex cases. This role offers up to £33.88 per hour.

Overview

Advanced/Senior Practitioner Level 11 - Children & Families

Location: Stoke on Trent

Hours: Monday to Friday 08:30 AM - 5:00 PM

Pay: Up to £33.88 per hour (Umbrella)

Role Overview: Join our dedicated team supporting children, young people, and their families across Stoke-on-Trent. As an Advanced/Senior Practitioner, you will play a key role in assessment, safeguarding, and care planning, ensuring the welfare of children is always the top priority.

Key Responsibilities
  • Involve children, young people, and families fully in assessments and care planning
  • Work to agreed practice standards and meet Social Work England registration requirements
  • Safeguard children and young people, taking appropriate action when safety is at risk
  • Promote the health, wellbeing, and safety of children, young people, families, and carers
  • Manage more complex casework with skill and professionalism
  • Use time management effectively and respond flexibly to service needs
  • Support efficient deployment of departmental resources
  • Follow all health and safety procedures and standards at work
  • Provide support and cover to the Principal Manager when required
  • Always prioritize the welfare of the child or young person
Ideal Candidate
