Job Title: Advanced Nurse Practitioner / Advanced Clinical Practitioner (ANP/ACP)
Location: Southend
Salary: Up to £65,000 depending on experience
Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Overview

A dedicated and experienced Advanced Nurse Practitioner / Advanced Clinical Practitioner is required to join a primary care team in Southend. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to high-quality, patient‑centred care within a modern, supportive general practice environment. The post holder will work autonomously while collaborating closely with the wider clinical team to deliver safe and effective services to the local population.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive clinical care including history taking, assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning and evaluation.
  • Demonstrate expert clinical judgement and safe decision‑making in managing patients presenting with a wide range of minor illness and minor injury.
  • Support the ongoing development of clinical pathways and ensure best practice is maintained across the service.
  • Work collaboratively with GPs, nurses and other multidisciplinary team members to meet patient needs and support consistent service delivery.
  • Contribute to maintaining high clinical standards, adherence to policies and procedures, and helping to drive continuous improvement within the practice.
Ideal Candidate
  • Experienced in a primary care environment.
  • Registered with the NMC, with advanced clinical practice training and/or working toward independent non‑medical prescribing.
  • Qualified in minor illness and minor injury management, with the ability to deliver safe, high‑level autonomous care.
  • Ideally educated to Level 7 (MSc), although those with ACP accreditation or currently completing an MSc may also be considered.
  • Strong commitment to patient‑centred care, clinical excellence and ongoing professional development.
