Neway have a Job Opportunity for an Admin Assistant Child Protection to join our client based with Bath and North East Somerset Council.

Location: Keynsham Civic Centre

Contract: Temporary (29 Sept 2025 – 30 Jan 2026)

Hours: 15 per week | 2 days/week (one must be Mon or Tues)

Rate: £12.21/hr PAYE | £15.75/hr Umbrella/Ltd
IR35 Status: Inside IR35

Bath and North East Somerset Council is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Admin Assistant to support the Child Protection team during a period of long-term sickness cover. This is a vital role within Children’s Services & Education, offering the chance to make a meaningful impact in a fast-paced, sensitive environment.

Responsibilities

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Experience in local authority, children’s services, or school settings (ideal)
  • Ability to learn new systems quickly and work independently
  • English and Maths qualifications to Grade C GCSE or equivalent
  • Willingness to attend an in-person induction day in Keynsham
  • Availability to work in person fortnightly on Mondays (preferred) or fully remotely if experienced
