About The Role

Are you passionate about supporting people on their journey to recovery from substance misuse? The Bridges, Forwards residential treatment centre in Hull, is looking for a dedicated Addictions Counsellor with a minimum Level 4 counselling qualification to join our Treatment Team.

We provide structured 3:6:month programmes for adults committed to abstinence, using evidence:based approaches like the 12:step model, Motivational Enhancement Therapy (MET), and Seeking Safety. Over 20 years, weve built a thriving recovery culture, and we want you to help it grow.

What You'll Do As An Addictions Counsellor
  • Manage a caseload, creating tailored recovery plans and risk assessments.
  • Deliver structured group sessions and individual 1:1 support.
  • Provide a full range of psycho:social interventions to meet client needs.
  • Support reintegration into the community, helping residents build sustainable recovery.
  • Oversee admissions, accompany clients on external activities, and supervise medication self:administration.
  • Carry out drug and alcohol testing, maintain accurate records, and communicate effectively across the team.
