Job description
Overview

Please note that this is a part-time role working 19 hours per week from 10:00am - 3:30pm; full flexibility is required.

As an Activities Co-ordinator at HC-One, kindness will be at the core of everything you do. It touches upon every aspect of our Dementia, Nursing, Residential and Specialist care homes. By joining HC-One you'll have a wonderful opportunity to give something back to Residents who are people with their own stories to tell.

Responsibilities

As an Activities Co-ordinator, you will plan and implement activities that delight Residents. You will help the Home Manager organise essential fundraising events. Whether you 27re helping Residents gain confidence to socialise more, developing activity ideas based on Residents 27 hobbies, or involving the rest of the care home team, you will do so with kindness as a guiding principle.

Qualifications & Skills

HC-One is looking for someone with a background in working with vulnerable individuals and, ideally, developing activity programmes. Beyond that, you should bring brilliant, positive energy and a natural ability to get along with people. You will have strong planning, organisational and IT skills and be able to manage your time effectively. When communicating with Residents or co-workers, you will be genuinely considerate and kind.

Safeguarding

Safeguarding is everyone 27s responsibility. You should be able to recognise signs of possible abuse, harm or neglect and know what to do if concerns arise. All colleagues are required to attend safeguarding training appropriate to their role and to undertake additional training in related areas. You should be able to seek appropriate advice and report concerns, including escalation if action is not taken.

From the moment you receive a job offer, we aim for the quickest possible turnaround to get you started, with full support throughout.
