Overview

Zero Hour Prescription Delivery Driver — 12-month fixed term contract at our 807 branch, Highfield Surgery, Holtdale Approach, Leeds, LS16 7RX. Branch hours are Monday to Friday 09:00 to 18:00. Flexibility to work within these times is required. You will deliver prescription items to private houses, nursing and residential homes, acting as an ambassador for the Cohens brand while delivering a high standard of customer service.

Responsibilities

• Deliver prescription items promptly and conscientiously within designated timeframes.
• Provide excellent customer service and maintain a professional image.
• Plan and print daily delivery routes from the branch using basic computer skills.
• Operate under the company’s regulated procedures with attention to detail.
• Use your own vehicle for deliveries; ensure your personal insurance covers business use.
• Assist with PR activities to help increase business when required.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Excellent people skills and the ability to work under pressure to meet delivery times.
• Very basic computer skills for route planning and printing.
• Valid personal vehicle with business-use insurance (the company may contribute to the business aspect of insurance on receipt of documentation).
• Willingness to participate in required DBS checks as part of the recruitment process.

Compensation & Benefits

• Mileage reimbursement: 40p per mile up to 10,000 miles; 25p per mile thereafter, in line with HMRC guidelines.
• Fuel receipts required for each visit; mileage claims submitted weekly.
• Discretionary bonus scheme (if applicable).
• 4 weeks’ paid holiday, plus bank holidays; pro-rated for part-time staff; increases with service.
• EAP provided by BUPA, pension contributions, staff discount, and regulatory training where required.
• Free uniform (black polo shirt, black fleece, high-visibility vest, high-visibility jacket) – employees provide own smart dark trousers and shoes/boots.
