Due to continued growth and expansion, Horizon Care and Education have an exciting opportunity for a peripatetic teacher to join our fantastic Alternative Learning Pathway team in the Warwickshire area.

Horizon Alternative Learning Pathway (HALP) aims to support and engage young people for whom learning in a school environment is not appropriate. We deliver short to medium term, personalised learning programmes nationally - a combination of direct home tutoring, mentoring and online learning for pupils from ages 8-25.

As a peripatetic teacher you will visit children to deliver the 1-1 education in the community. You will be expected to attend meetings and training where required.

You will be working in a variety of non-school settings where you will be building and maintaining excellent educational relationships with the students. Your focus will be the individual learning needs of the student who has struggled in a school environment. Due to the nature of the role you will need to be a car owner / driver.

Minimum requirements

• QTS or QTLS Qualifications
• Have proven teaching and learning experience.
• Have up to date safeguarding and child protection qualifications / knowledge and experience.

Ideal candidate should

• Have the energy, passion, and drive to create exciting and engaging lessons for our students
• Have initiative, vision, excellent planning, and organisational skills
• Ideally have experience and a passion for working with students with SEN / SEMH in a 1-1 or small group setting
