We are currently recruiting for Work Order Card Specifier to join our growing team at Sizewell. The role will be responsible for producing specifications through the work management process (AMS) for welding activities. The specifier may be the same person as the Responsible Engineer. The Specifier will be responsible for each welding Work Order Card (WOC) to specify in SZB/FORM/// (the Weld Traveller) the following details completing Section 1 of the form, with assistance from the Welding Service Supplier:

Key Responsibilities:

• Specify the materials being welded, including thickness, diameter etc.
• Specify the Design Code(s) of the plant being welded and relevant conditions.
• Identify, using SZB/LI//, if the work is an ASME Repair/Replacement activity.
• Identify, from the relevant Codes/Standards, the extent of examination and testing required and the acceptance criteria to be applied.
• Identify if bore purging (for austenitic piping) is required and if so provide evidence by way of purge path sketch included in the Weld Traveller.
• Produce a weld map and include within the Weld Traveller.
• Assign new weld numbers for new or replacement welds to ensure a new weld history is established using Station weld numbering register held by TAG.
• Identify any drawings that require updating as a result of changes/new spools and welds.
• Raise a DOCU AR in AMS for the drawing updates and include the weld map mark-up within the EDMS Doc button or Attributes panel of the AR.
• Ensure the appropriate specification and review of welding activities with input from appropriate SQEPs, such as System Engineer, Welding Services Supplier, ASME Specialists and correct completion of form SZB/FORM/// prior to attaching it to the WOC.
