A leading environmental consulting firm is seeking a motivated Social Consultant to join their team in Lyon. The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years of experience in a consulting environment and possess expertise in social impact assessments and stakeholder engagement. Responsibilities include ensuring compliance with national regulations, writing project reports, conducting fieldwork, and preparing presentations. ERM is seeking a motivated Social Consultant to join our team in France (Paris or Lyon).
The ideal candidate will have at 1 - 2 years of experience in a consulting company.
The candidate should have professional experience in providing social advisory services (social impact assessments, stakeholder engagement, human rights, social value creation strategies, due diligence, social license to operate, resettlement and livelihood restoration planning and implementation, community health, safety and security) in line with national and international requirements of lender institutions and, if possible, have experience with permitting effort in France.
Our Social Performance team works with corporations, multilateral finance institutions, and other private and public sector clients to assess a wide range of corporate social and ethical issues, identifying and communicating with stakeholders at corporate and operational level. The work includes strategic and policy work, stakeholder consultation and engagement, and management systems, as well as field surveys to collect data aiming to identify, assess and manage social impact assessment, social management plan development such as resettlement frameworks / action plans stakeholder engagement plans, etc.
