You will design and develop security applications for STM32 microcontrollers, contributing to the development of innovative IoT solutions. Microcontrollers & Digital ICs Group (MDG) contributes to many of ST’s strategic goals for Industrial, Personal Electronics and Communications Equipment. MDG represents about one third of ST’s business.

We are looking for an experienced Embedded SW security developer to develop security applications on STM32 microcontroller.

You will be part of a team located in Le Mans responsible for designing and developing embedded applications with security functionalities using STM32 microcontroller security mechanisms. The Use Cases are quite broad in IoT, industrial or consumer markets and allow to for example to manage (install / update / isolate) securely any confidential information stored inside a STM32 microcontroller.

Responsibilities

• Follow Security standards and security microcontrollers vulnerabilities publicly reported from the field.
• Participate, influence & contribute to STM32 security HW specification to improve the robustness of the STM32 security applications.
• Elaborate the verification (FPGA) and validation (Silicon) security plan & execution.
• Follow our SW development process from specification to validation to develop STM32 microcontroller security applications to demonstrate & promote our STM32 security features to customer end users.
• Support security Labs assessing / certifying our STM32 security solution against ARM PSA or SESIP security standards.
• Support our customers using our security solutions.
• Analyze and fix STM32 security SW vulnerabilities reported from the field.

Profile

Required skills :

• Embedded & Realtime Software Development - C / C++ and assembly languages (Debug - Profiling).
• ARM Trust-Zone Cortex-M architecture knowledge.
• Python script language.
• Configuration management (git, gerrit, github, repo)
• Development environment (IDEs such as IAR, Keil, Eclipse)
• Good English written and verbal communication.

Experience

Experimented in :

• Security solution definition with security level analysis (Assets / Threats / Mitigations).
• Strong Security applications development experience on Microcontroller with ARM Cortex-M cores (from CM0 to CM33).
• Security PSA and / or SESIP certification experiences.
• Software countermeasures implementation to mitigate SW attacks and HW physical attacks such as fault injection or side channel.
• Python Scripting development.
