Job Title: Sales Manager – Glenair France

Reports to: Country Manager, France

Position Summary

Glenair France is seeking a dynamic and technically minded Sales Manager to lead a team of external Sales Engineers through business development, account management and customer growth across the French market. Our role is responsible for driving revenue, managing key strategic accounts, developing new business within aerospace, defense, space and satellite, and all mission critical / harsh environment applications, representing Glenairs world‑class engineering and manufacturing capabilities to customers.

The Sales Manager will combine strong commercial skills with technical understanding, providing customers with high-reliability interconnect solutions that meet demanding performance and compliance requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
Sales & Business Development
  • Develop and execute a sales strategy to grow Glenairs market share in France
  • Identify, qualify, and develop new business opportunities across target industries
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with all level of customer
  • Manage long sales cycles involving engineering, procurement, and program teams
  • Prepare quotations, negotiate pricing, and close contracts in line with company margins
Account Management
  • Own and grow key customer accounts, ensuring long‑term partnerships
  • Understand customer programs, forecasts, and life cycle needs
  • Coordinate with internal engineering, production, and quality teams to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Manage contract renewals, long‑term agreements, and strategic pricing programs
Technical & Program Support
  • Work closely with applications engineers to define solutions and specifications
  • Support customers through design‑in, qualification, and production ramp‑up phases
  • Promote Glenairs custom interconnect, connector, back shell, cable assembly, and fiber‑optic solutions
  • Ensure compliance with aerospace, defense, and industrial standards
Market & Competitive Intelligence
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and emerging technologies
  • Provide regular reporting and forecasts to management
  • Participate in trade shows, customer events, and industry forums
Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or related field (Engineering preferred)
  • 5+ years of B2B technical sales experience running a team, ideally within aerospace, defense, rail, space, or associated markets.
  • Strong understanding of electromechanical components, connectors, cable assemblies, or similar technical products
  • Proven ability to manage complex sales cycles and close high‑value programs
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Fluent in French and English
  • Willingness to travel regularly within France and occasionally internationally
