A global beauty leader in Paris is seeking an R&D Packaging Development Intern for a 6-month internship starting January 2026. You will assist packaging engineers with new projects in cosmetics and fragrances. Ideal candidates should have a background in Packaging or Materials Engineering, strong organizational skills, and a genuine interest in the beauty industry. R&D Packaging Development Intern

6 month internship starting January 2026

Within the Packaging R&D department, you will report to a Packaging Engineer who will guide you through an integration process to allow you to evolve in a pleasant and caring environment.

Responsibilities

Your main focus:

  • Assist packaging engineers on new projects for the prestige make‑up or fragrance ranges in compliance with the development process.
  • Briefs from suppliers, factories and/or subcontractors.
  • Technical study and planning, risk analysis, prototyping.
  • Follow‑up of homologation tests with suppliers and verification of their completeness in the laboratory.
  • Writing and monitoring specifications.

Missions transverses:

  • Be a support for the substitution of materials in packaging with the multi‑functional team and ensure their regulatory compliance as well as their quality.
  • Study of the life cycle of specific material (production, use and disposal), its compatibility with the formula and its environmental impact via the Spice tool.
YOU ARE A COTY FIT
  • First experience in the Cosmetics/Perfume Industry or in project management is a plus.
  • Bac+3/Bac+5 in Packaging or Materials Engineering.
  • Knowledge of packaging, materials (plastics, glass, cardboard).
  • Project Management.
  • Good level of English (B1 equivalent).
  • Product sensitivity Cosmetics, world of Beauty.
  • Methodical, organized, rigorous, autonomous, curious, have a sense of priorities and anticipation and know how to be a force of proposal. You have good interpersonal skills and an open mind.
