A global manufacturing firm in France, Grand Est, is seeking an Operations Manager to oversee performance and lead continuous improvement initiatives within manufacturing facilities. The ideal candidate will have a degree in economics, engineering, or operations management, along with over 5 years of management experience and fluency in English. Your impactful role :
Manufacturing Excellence: Oversee daily performance of manufacturing facilities through LPMS process, ensuring timely and cost-effective production and delivery.
Leadership and Organizational Development: Manage all hourly and salary associates in manufacturing areas and coordinate curative maintenance. Ensure efficient planning and staffing, and develop organizational structures that leverage top talent. Promote a transparency & no-blame mindset.
Health, Safety & Environment: Ensure compliance with all legal and Freudenberg requirements regarding health, safety, and environment. Promote a safety-focused mindset.
Quality Assurance: Guarantee customer satisfaction by delivering the highest quality products. Promote a quality-focused mindset.
Continuous Improvement: Promote a mindset of continuous improvement in all areas of responsibility. Strive for increased effectiveness and productivity by utilizing lean techniques for both production and administrative processes. Fight against silo thinking.
Financial Oversight: P&L responsibility for area managed. Handle budget planning for your area of responsibility and review budget performance.
Partner cross‑functionally with Quality, Engineering, Supply Chain, HSE, HR, product development, and Finance to resolve issues quickly and sustain improvements.
Build & Drive: Create and drive the local policy deployment matrix and lead the continuous improvement steering committee.
Customer Communications: Be the main contact for our customers when it comes to segmentation questions, capacity question or new product launches in partnership with Quality and Sales.
Your Skills and Qualifications :
Education : Master's or bachelor's degree in economics, engineering, operations management or equivalent
Experience : more than 5 years experience in management and operations
Language skills : fluent in English
Demonstrated success running complex projects, including customer‑facing approval processes
Strong command of Lean/CI methods and KPI‑driven performance management
Solid knowledge of ISO 9001 / IATF 16949 systems and audit readiness
Excellent stakeholder management and clear, proactive communication with customers and internal teams
