Maintenance / Instrument / Technician / Offshore
Responsibilities
- Respect and apply QHSSE rules and procedures.
- Perform on-site maintenance operations which are under his responsibility.
- Work with direction from his Supervisor or Vendors.
- Respect all COMPANY’s HSE regulations (especially procedures related to work permit), as well as approved operating procedures and standard industry practice during the performance of maintenance operations placed under his responsibility.
- Execute all maintenance and repairs to plant and equipment in a safe and efficient manner and in strict compliance with company operating procedures and any relevant statutory legislation in order to maintain all such equipment in sound and safe operating conditions.
- Ensure all worksites are clean and tidy on completion of works.
- Ensure all problems are immediately highlighted to his/her supervising Engineer.
- Participate fully in pre-work assessment and risk assessments and abide by the recommendations.
- Ensure all near misses and accidents are reported.
Profile
The holder of this post must have the following qualifications:
- Higher National Diploma or Engineering Bachelor Degree or equivalent.
- 3 to 5 years’ experience in maintenance on oil and gas production installations.
- A basic knowledge of the process of oil and gas treatment, installations and a thorough knowledge of the equipment used in oil and gas treatment installations.
- Working knowledge of Instrumentation and Control Systems (PFD and P&ID diagrams, Instrument list and I/O list, Specifications and data sheets, Valve, relief valve and pressure reducing valve calculations, Layout and routing plans, Assembly standards, Equipment parts lists, Terminal block and BJ plans, Grouping cabinet plans, Control room and technical room layout plans, Loop diagrams, Interconnection diagrams).
Additional Qualifications
Physical ability to work on offshore installations in the climatic conditions of the site.
Fluent in Portuguese; knowledge of French & English languages recommended.
Leadership, reliability and work confidentiality.
