A leading insurance company in Nanterre is seeking a skilled professional to provide technical IFRS17 financial analysis and reporting. This role involves collaborating across finance and actuarial functions, ensuring robust financial projections and reporting. Ideal candidates will have strong technical knowledge in reporting, experience within the insurance industry, and excellent relationship management skills. The International Health and EB business represents 1.6BnEuros (2024) with Health and Protection covers, in reinsurance (2/3) and direct insurance (1/3). It targets different client segments: individuals, small/medium/large corporates, multinationals, ceding companies, IGOs/NGOs and Embassies.
Your role: providing insightful technical IFRS17 financial analysis and reporting across International Health and EB business. Working collaboratively across Finance, reserving and actuarial functions, as well as Sales and Underwriters, to develop and enhance IFRS17 projections, bring challenge, insight and governance.
1. Perform robust IFRS 17 financial projections and Analysis timely
Lead the delivery of IFRS17 for strategic plans, budgets and reforecasts. Develop a risk and opportunity log to support effective performance management. Lead collaboration across finance, reserving and actuarial functions to deliver robust and insightful reporting.
2. Provide explanation to Group and local stakeholders through reporting schedules
Lead the delivery of accurate monthly business reports and forecasting schedules to timescale and to a high degree of accuracy. Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across the division and Group. Develop insightful analysis and commentary in relation to the business. Manage the annual reporting, budgeting and forecasting cycle within the timeline.
3. Build strong and effective relationships
Develop and maintain effective relationships across Group, Finance, reserving, actuarial functions and business functions. Leverage relationships to develop compelling business insight and influence at all levels to drive achievement of financial targets.
4. Maintain strong IFRS 17 tools and methodologies
Maintain strong and up-to-date IFRS17 knowledge through regular training and engagement with industry updates. Undertake and provide solutions for emerging reporting requirements.
