A global construction equipment leader based in Belley, France, is seeking a Head of People & Culture. This strategic role focuses on defining and implementing HR policies to support an industrial transformation. The ideal candidate has a Master's degree, at least 10 years of relevant experience, and strong leadership skills. As part of its ambition to lead the transformation journey through electrification and sustainable power, Volvo CE has set up a dedicated business unit, 2 years ago, for its range of compact equipment machines and solutions, with the aim of driving growth and profitability in this important and growing product segment, taking the benefit of our industrial footprint, our 450 experienced people located in Belley (France), Konz (Germany), and Changwon (South Korea).

We invite you to join a strategic industrial site at the heart of a dynamic, demanding, and rapidly changing environment.

Reporting to the head of CBU and Belley site, you will lead a multidisciplinary team (P&C partners, health and safety) for an industrial organization located in Belley (Ain).

As a true business partner, you will actively contribute to the CBU and Belley site performance by supporting managers and teams on a daily basis. You are recognized for your ability to develop the People & Culture function by combining strategic vision and operational proximity. You know how to support management teams in change and social performance while modernizing practices.

Your key missions:

Define and deploy a People & Culture policy consistent with the industrial strategy and transformation challenges, for the Compact Business Unit and more specifically for the Belley site.

The P&C policy includes in particular:

  • Leading “Strategic Workforce Planning” projects to anticipate and secure critical and strategic resources.
  • The Health, Safety, and Well‑Being at Work policy to unite managers and teams around a culture of prevention and a safe and inclusive work environment.
  • The desire to strengthen collaboration between teams and ensure a high level of inclusion.
  • Leadership development and change management.

You will also play a key role in social dialogue by managing social relations across a complex scope, chairing the Social and Economic Committee (CSE), and participating in or leading collective bargaining negotiations with a constructive and responsible approach.

You will be supported by a team of 7 experts, including: People & Culture Partners; Social Relations Specialist; P&C Specialist; Health, Safety & Working Conditions Manager; Safety Coordinator; Occupational Nurse. You will lead and develop this team while fostering a collaborative spirit.

You will be a trusted partner for managers and operational teams.

Who are you?

Required profile:

  • Master's degree in Human Resources, Labor Law, or equivalent.
  • Proven experience (minimum 10 years) in an equivalent position, ideally acquired in an industrial environment.
  • Solid knowledge of legislation and labor relations, change management, and multidisciplinary team management.
  • Assertive and supportive leadership, keen sense of the field, pragmatism, and excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a demanding and changing environment.
  • Discretion, loyalty, sense of confidentiality.
  • International context: professional English required (C1) to thrive in a global group, in addition to being bilingual in French.
