Job Summary

The Global Mobility Specialist is a core member of the Talent team, dedicated to orchestrating successful immigration files and relocations. This role serves as the central point of contact for relocating employees, their managers, and all third-party vendors, ensuring all moves are seamless, compliant, and cost-effective. The specialist is critical to supporting the company's talent strategy and global business growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the full lifecycle of employee immigration and relocation, from initial planning to repatriation / localization including all associated administrative and logistical pieces.
  • Oversee the entire immigration and work permit process for employees and their dependents, coordinating closely with external immigration counsel (including all aspects of compliance, documentation, renewal and tracking).
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for employees, providing personalized support and guidance on immigration and benefits.
  • Manage and track the budget for each assignment, preparing cost projections and ensuring all expenses are processed accurately and efficiently.
  • Collaborate with internal Payroll, Finance, and external tax advisors to manage the financial aspects of assignments as well as HR partners for updates.
  • Manage relationships of all global mobility vendors, including relocation companies, immigration law firms, and tax service providers.
  • Provide support to the Talent Team when necessary.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, International Relations, Law or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of direct experience in a Global Mobility, International HR, or Immigration function preferably within a multinational corporation.
  • In-depth knowledge of international assignment principles, including compensation, tax equalization, relocation best practices, and immigration processes.
  • Relevant professional certification (e.g., Global Mobility Specialist - GMS, Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultant - RCIC) is a plus.
