Mode Executive is supporting a luxury fragrance house in the appointment of a Global Sales Director. This brand is internationally distributed, creatively driven, and positioned at the high end of the niche and luxury fragrance market, with strong ambitions for global growth and long-term brand equity.

Fluency in French and English is essential

The role is based in Paris and reports directly to the executive leadership team. The Global Sales Director will operate at a global level, overseeing international sales performance across all regions and channels, while working closely with internal stakeholders to support sustainable expansion.

The Role
  • Define and execute the global sales strategy in line with the brand’s positioning, values, and growth objectives
  • Own global revenue targets, forecasting, and commercial performance across all international markets
  • Lead and develop sales across EMEA, and Asia-Pacific, managing distributors and key strategic accounts
  • Identify new market opportunities and expansion strategies while maintaining selective and controlled distribution
  • Negotiate commercial agreements with distributors, retailers, and partners, ensuring alignment with luxury standards
  • Oversee multi-channel distribution, including niche perfumery, department stores, travel retail, and e-commerce partnerships
  • Build, lead, and mentor an international sales team, setting clear KPIs and driving performance
  • Work closely with marketing, brand, and product teams to support launches, activations, and global initiatives
  • Provide market insights, competitive analysis, and strategic recommendations to senior leadership
Requirements
  • Significant international sales leadership experience within luxury fragrance or beauty
  • Proven track record managing global distributors and key accounts across multiple regions
  • Strong understanding of selective distribution and luxury brand development
  • Strategic, commercially driven, and hands‑on leadership style
  • Excellent negotiation and relationship management skills
  • Experience working in entrepreneurial or high-growth environments
  • Fluency in French and English is essential; additional languages are advantageous
  • Flexibility to travel internationally on a regular basis
