A global pet care company is seeking a Gastrointestinal Research Scientist to lead innovative solutions in gastrointestinal health for pets. The role involves research project management, collaboration with teams, and effective communication of scientific findings. At Royal Canin R&D, the Research Team is responsible for the long-term innovation (4+ years). It consists of science and technology experts that delivers solutions into new or improved products, processes and services that enhance the health and wellbeing of every cat and dog and bring competitive advantage to Royal Canin. The team values a broad expertise and the diversity of scientific backgrounds.
The purpose of this role in the Core Health Research Team is to identify Innovative solutions on Gastrointestinal Health (nutritional products, services, diagnostics, or functional complements) for healthy and sick pets and to communicate relevant scientific/technological findings to key business and external audiences.
To screen potential solutions, build and manage approved research projects within the research program.
Support the Design team regarding the scientific evaluation of new diagnostic tools, devices, and other service solutions for the wellbeing of cats and dogs in the field of research.
At the same time, engage potential collaborations between Waltham, and different Mars Petcare Units as appropriate (e.g. Mars Veterinary Health group, Science & Diagnostics division) relevant to the Core Health Research team.
To communicate relevant scientific/technological findings to key business and external audiences through written works and oral presentation.
To Deliver Innovative solutions implementable in Royal Canin product & service portfolio.
