A leading company in the life sciences industry seeks a finance professional to lead monthly closing activities, ensure compliance with financial standards, and drive process improvements. This role is crucial in analyzing business performance and supporting internal audits. The ideal candidate will possess strong financial acumen and effective communication skills, contributing to the mission of making the world healthier, cleaner, and safer.
Partners with functional and business leadership and peers in driving business performance to meet short and long term objectives.
Lead and support monthly closing activities including journal entries, accruals, reporting, and analysis processes.
Ensure local tax requirements supported by site teams are completed on a timely basis.
Ensure compliance with US GAAP, Sarbanes-Oxley requirements, company policy, and standard operating procedures; recommend changes to strengthen the control environment.
Support internal and external audit requirements.
Drive continuous improvement and utilize systems to increase controls and efficiencies.
Identify and lead process improvements and system implementations.
Listen proactively and collaborate across functional lines.
Perform other ad-hoc duties as assigned.
Analyze financial and business performance against key metrics and financial highlights to assess progress against strategic plans and budgets.
