Overview

Maintenance / Electrical / Technician / Offshore

Electrical Specific:

  • HV & LV power distribution and control networks, including generators, electric motors, alternators, inverters, high-voltage cells, variable speed drives, lighting and earthing networks, lightning protection systems, switchgear, breakers, UPS, and protection relays.

Context and missions:

  • Position Offshore
  • Rotation status - 3Wx3W
Main activities
  • Organises and performs on site the maintenance operations which are placed under his responsibility
  • Ensures that COMPANY’s HSE regulations are respected (especially procedures related to Work Permits), as well as approved operating procedures and standard industry practice during performance of maintenance operations placed under his responsibility
  • Carries out, at the Supervisor request, any intervention within his field of competence
  • Takes in charge the systems under his responsibility in case of breakdown until correct operation status
Profile

The holder of this post must have the following qualifications:

  • Higher National Diploma or Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering
  • 3 to 5 years’ experience in the field of maintenance on oil and gas production installations
  • A basic knowledge of the process of oil and gas treatment, installations and a thorough knowledge of the equipment used in oil and gas treatment installations
  • Working knowledge of HV & LV power distribution and control networks, including generators, electric motors, alternators, inverters, high-voltage cells, variable speed drives, lighting and earthing networks, lightning protection systems, switchgear, breakers, UPS, and protection relays, with practical hands-on experience in both operation and maintenance

Physical ability to work on offshore installations in the climatic conditions of the site

Fluent in Portuguese, knowledge of French & English language recommended

Minimum level of experience required

3 years or more

Required authorisations
  • Working knowledge of HV & LV power distribution and control networks, including generators, electric motors, alternators, inverters, high-voltage cells, variable speed drives, lighting and earthing networks, lightning protection systems, switchgear, breakers, UPS, and protection relays, with practical hands-on experience in both operation and maintenance
  • 3 - 5 years’ experience minimum in the maintenance field on oil and gas production installations
  • Minimum HND Electrical Engineering degree

  • English (C-Professional working proficiency)
  • Portuguese (D-Full professional proficiency)
  • French (B-Limited working proficiency)
