SUPERVISOR Reports directly to the Vice President for Finance and Administration or any other supervisor designed by the President.

Reporting to the Vice President for Finance and Administration, the Director of Campus and Housing Operations is responsible for the overall management and smooth operation of the university campus, including student residences. The Director of Campus and Housing Operations oversees the campus's operational, logistical, and administrative aspects in collaboration with various university departments.
Oversee the administrative, logistical, and operational management of the campus facilities and residential buildings.
Implements and monitors preventive and corrective maintenance actions for campus facilities and residential buildings.
Manages relationships with external service providers (cleaning, security, technical services, etc.)
Manages purchases and procurement (electricity, water, security, cleaning, reception, equipment and supplies), with regular monitoring and competitive bidding.
Estimates bedding requirements based on Admissions estimate and historical occupancy ratios.
Finds possible residences and negotiate with landlords and partners in connection with the VP for Finance and Administration and the Associate Dean for Residential Life.
Determines the rents to be charged to students on an annual basis, to ensure financial sustainability of AUP Housing and after consultation with Finance and Residential Life.
Finds partnerships to maximize residences occupancy during summer, in cooperation with Admissions.
Works closely with Residential life team.Manages Administrative Services.
Supervises the maintenance managers and the logistics manager. Ensures that maintenance projects are planned and organized, and all campus facilities and residential buildings are properly maintained.
Ensures that residential buildings are properly prepared for each new cohort.
Ensures that appropriate measures (employees or outside contractors) are in place to guarantee proper cleaning and upkeep of facilities and residential buildings.
Defines goals and priorities for the organization in the context of major capital projects, in close cooperation with the Director for Real Estate and Sustainability.
Supervises the Responsable Sécurité
Ensures respect of ERP (Etablissement recevant le public) and sanitary regulations.
Defines access control and videosurveillance policies, ensuring that they are properly declared to the appropriate authorities, properly installed and maintained, and that information is regularly purged in accordance with legislation.
Supervises lockdown procedures.
Manages relationship with Security provider in collaboration with the Responsable Sécurité.
Serves on the Emergency Response Team and on the Crisis Management Team.
Serves on the on call rotation.
Supervises the Coordinator of Administrative Services (mail service, purchasing, maintenance of campus photocopiers).
Provides logistical support for campus moves and events.
Oversees contracts for the supply of photocopiers and vending machines.
Manages the pool of portable telephones supplied to University employees (contract with service provider and supply of physical telephones).
Manages the telephone auto-attendant and campus directories, in collaboration with Human Resources, IT Services and Academic Affairs.
Supervises the Bookstore Coordinator.
In collaboration with the Provost, work to optimize service and financial viability of the Bookstore function Financial and General Management
Works with the University Controller to establish, control and report on budgets for all Administrative Services.
Manages facilities-related insurance claims.
Assesses Administrative Services regularly and files annual report to leadership and to the Dean of Assessment.
Other appropriate duties which may also be assigned by the Supervisor according to the needs of the Department.
Masters degree (or equivalent) in a related field.
A minimum of 5 to 7 years of experience in a similar role, particularly in managing campuses or residences.
Solid leadership skills, with an ability to exercise authority and motivate teams.
Experience working in and a thorough understanding of American-style institutions of higher education is a plus.
Budgeting and financial management expertise.
Organizational skills, rigor, and autonomy.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Experience in facilities management and / or managing facilities-related projects.
Proven cross-cultural and communication skills and an ability to direct mixed teams composed of different professional and cultural profiles.
Full proficiency in French and English.
A fast learner and creative thinker, with strong analytical skills.
