Qualifications

We’re looking for a Design Manager to join our Development team in Melbourne, where you’ll play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality, innovative design outcomes for multi-residential apartment projects.

This is your chance to influence the design process from concept through to construction, ensuring every project meets Stockland’s standards, regulatory requirements, and market expectations.

What you’ll do
  • Manage and coordinate the design process for multi-residential apartment developments from concept to tender documentation.
  • Engage and lead architects and consultants to deliver cost-effective, compliant, and innovative design solutions.
  • Review design documentation for compliance with planning controls, building codes, and Stockland principles.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to integrate sustainability and ESG commitments into design outcomes.
  • Maintain project briefs and design programmes, ensuring timelines and quality standards are met.

Experience & Skills That Count
  • Tertiary qualification in Architecture, Engineering, or Construction/Project Management (essential).
  • 5–10 years’ experience in design and construction of multi-residential apartments and mixed-use projects.
  • Strong understanding of building technology, construction methodologies, and design documentation.
  • Knowledge of Victorian planning systems, building codes, and apartment design standards (e.g., BADS).
  • Familiarity with design software outputs (AutoCAD, Revit, BIM) desirable.
