A research organization in France is seeking a full-time researcher to simulate solar corona and solar wind processes. Offer Description

This project is a continuation of the work carried out during the ERC SLOW SOURCE project and aims to simulate the solar corona and solar wind acceleration processes.

Perform numerical simulations of the solar corona using models developed by IRAP, in particular the ISAM multi-species model and various magnetohydrodynamic models.

This work will be carried out in teams, with the theoretical modelling work being performed on IRAP's computing clusters and regional computers.

A PhD thesis in space plasma physics, with expertise in numerical simulations.
