About the Role
The Business Development Manager HVAC is responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building and maintaining strong client relationships, and driving revenue growth. This role combines strategic planning, market research, sales, and partnership development to help the company expand its market presence and achieve long-term goals. We have offices in Nice & Lyon from which you can also work from.
Responsibilities
Business Growth & Strategy
- Identify new markets, customer segments, and revenue opportunities.
- Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve business growth targets.
- Analyse industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities.
Lead Generation & Sales
- Generate, qualify, and convert leads into business opportunities.
- Prepare and deliver compelling presentations, proposals, and pitches.
- Negotiate contracts and close deals that align with company objectives.
- Develop and manage customer pipeline.
Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients, partners, and key stakeholders.
- Understand client needs and collaborate with internal teams to provide tailored solutions.
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with marketing, sales, product, and operations teams to execute business development initiatives.
- Provide market feedback to assist in product development and service enhancements.
Reporting & Performance Tracking
- Monitor and report on sales pipeline, performance metrics, and forecasts.
- Prepare regular business reports and present insights to management.
- Track ROI of business development activities.
Profile
- Proven experience in business development, sales, or account management.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to build and maintain productive professional relationships.
- Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently.
- Proficiency with CRM tools and Microsoft Office/Google Workspace.
- Expert knowledge of the HVAC market and ideally heating systems.
- Knowledge of market regulations, subsidy programme and certification requirements.
- An established network of contacts across the value chain – installers, developers, architects, consultants, wholesalers and distributors.
- Knowledge of competitors products and their route to markets.
- Fluent in French and English
