A global leader in food services is seeking a Brand Director. This role involves leading brand governance, developing brand guidelines, and managing strategic projects to enhance brand image. Candidates should have over 10 years of experience in communications, ideally within large organizations, and be fluent in both English and French. You will work at the head office of the Sodexo group, located in Issy-Les-Moulineaux, accessible from Paris by RER C, Tram T2 from La Défense and Porte de Versailles or metro line 12.
The Brand team plays a key role in strengthening Sodexo’s global reputation and attractiveness. Our
mission is to modernize the Group’s image, support employee engagement, create a sense of
belonging, and ensure that the brand contributes to business growth and strategy.
Within this context, the Brand Director, reporting to the VP Sodexo Global Brand, will be responsible for ensuring alignment and impact across the entire brand ecosystem — Corporate, Employer, and Business Brands.
The Brand Director acts as the guardian and referent for the Sodexo Brand fundamentals ensuring the brand fundamentals are in place, known, understood and respected.
Contribute to the global Brand Roadmap and budget, under the leadership of the VP of Brand.
Lead brand governance to ensure alignment, consistency, and impact across all brand expressions.
Develop strong, influential relationships with a global network of communication, marketing, and HR professionals.
Manage one direct report and coordinate cross-functional teams.
Contribute to key Corporate Brand initiatives (brand architecture, identity evolution, anniversaries,
etc.).
Oversee and continuously evolve Sodexo’s brand guidelines (logo, visual identity, tone of voice).
Strengthen and enrich the brand image to boost attractiveness and recognition.
Develop and promote guidelines, templates, and tools supporting consistent brand application.
Contribute to the photography style and visual coherence in partnership with the Brand Content
Manager.
Act as the Group’s point of reference for any question related to brand usage and deployment.
In partnership with HR function, own the Employer Brand guidelines (key messaging, tone of voice, and visual identity) and ensure continuous alignment with the Corporate Brand.
Strengthen and evolve the Employer Brand to support attraction and engagement.
Lead Employer Brand awareness campaigns, as required.
Coordinate the Group’s e-reputation strategy and studies.
Co-develop and manage ongoing Brand tracking and benchmarking, in partnership with Marketing.
Monitor and benchmark competitors’ brand identity and positioning.
Work closely with Legal teams on IP and trademark protection (registrations, renewals, monitoring, and brand use).
Act as a member of the Domain Name Committee.
